The 4th of October has traditionally been World Teachers Day and always falls in the holidays so we're celebrating it early with a ball for teachers.

The Canterbury Teachers Ball is a well-deserved night of celebration for the people who educate, inspire and support young people throughout our region.

Teachers, school leaders, support staff and their partners are invited to dress up, step away from the classroom and enjoy a memorable evening of dining, dancing and entertainment with colleagues from across Canterbury.

The Ball will also support Ferndale Te Ahu School and its work providing specialist education and support for ākonga with complex learning needs. By attending, guests will help make a positive difference for an extraordinary Canterbury school community.

Every eligible ticket holder will also go into the draw to win an unforgettable trip for two to Vienna—adding an exciting international opportunity to an already special evening.

In the lead-up to the Ball, The Breeze will help Canterbury celebrate the educators who go above and beyond through its Favourite Teacher promotion. School communities will have the opportunity to recognise the teachers who have made a lasting difference in the lives of their students.

Tickets and tables are strictly limited. Schools wishing to bring their staff together and sit as a group are encouraged to book a table early to avoid missing out.
